Muriya's 302-room Fanar Hotel & Residences, located within its Hawana Salalah Integrated Tourism Complex (ITC), was recently awarded a 5-Star rating by the Ministry of Tourism following a reassessment of its services. After opening in 2016 as a 4-Star hotel, the property's additional star comes as a direct result of its superior services, amenities, and accommodation delivered to its guests, and confirmed by consistently receiving the highest ratings among its peers according to international online travel sites. The hotel is currently undergoing an expansion, adding 98 key to its capacity by December this year to reach 400 rooms. This will take the total number of rooms at Hawana Salalah to around 900, reinforcing its position as home to the largest concentration of 5-Star hotel rooms within an ITC development in Oman.
Ahmed Dabbous, CEO of Muriya, said, "Our shareholders Orascom Development Holding and Omran have invested over USD 600 million to develop our projects. In addition to the 900 rooms and the Hawana Aqua Park we will have in Hawana Salalah by the end of December, we will also be opening in a few weeks our fourth touristic facility, Souly Lodge, featuring 15 exclusive and sustainably built ocean-front huts. These achievements come as we celebrate 10 years of solid contributions to the Sultanate's real estate, tourism, and hospitality sectors. I would like to thank the Ministry of Tourism for continuing to place their trust in Muriya and for their constant support since our establishment. Together, we have successfully worked hand-in-hand to further Oman's position as a destination of choice with multiple segments of visitors."
